The team at Belleek Castle is delighted to announce that Daniel Walsh will be hosting a Celebration Dinner on Thursday 14th December 2017. Daniel Walsh recently won the Best Young Chef in Connaught 2018 award at the Yes Chef Magazine Awards in Limerick. Our team attended the ceremony at the Limerick Strand Hotel on Tuesday 24th of October 2017, and are very proud that Daniel came back with his award.

To celebrate Daniel’s achievement we will be serving the same gourmet menu, which he served to the judges from Yes Chef Magazine. Daniel designed and served the award-winning menu himself under the guidance of Stephen Lenahan, head chef at Belleek Castle. As part of the competition Daniel had to prepare and serve his own gourmet menu with the support of the kitchen and front of house team at Belleek Castle. His hard work paid off and he was lucky enough to win the award for Best Young Chef in Connaught 2018. Daniel has continued Belleek Castle’s recent success at award ceremonies this year. Belleek Castle and the Library Restaurant recently won the awards for Best Customer Service in Mayo & Connaught at the Irish Restaurant Awards 2017 awards and Best Restaurant in Connaught at the Good Eating Guide Awards.

Traditional dry cured sirloin of beef, with a mustard dressing and garden home grown shoots.
