The original brickwork & character has been restored on the exterior of the building and the interior of the building has been given a modern design. The interior design of cafe also reflects the life of Jack Fenn, a sailor & adventurer! The cafe will be open daily from 11am till 5pm!
There once was a smuggler called Jack Fenn! Who got himself into a tight spot! Jack bought a passport from an Irishman called Marshall Doran and bought himself a castle! Come visit us at Jack Fenn's cafe which is just as intriguing as Jack was!
During Food Fleadh Ballina Jack Fenn Courtyard Cafe was showcased to the general public for the launch of Food Fleadh Ballina on the 8th of September 2017. Belleek Castle's head chef Stephen Lenahan had a cooking demonstration at Jack Fenn's for a foraging group with Denis Quinn of Wild Atlantic Cultural Tours. The group had a day of seashore foraging on the Moy Esturary with Denis and bought back their foraged delights to Jack Fenn's for Stephen to cook. During that evening Jack Fenn's was open to the public for the launch of the Food Fleadh Ballina where there was plenty of excellent quality food & drink served to the public. The evening was hosted by Lilly Lenahan (manager & head chef at Jack Fenn's) and her husband Stephen Lenahan (head chef at Belleek Castle). The event was a great success with lots of people present from the local community and local food industry to show their support for Jack Fenn's.
