The Kitchen team is led by local chef Stephen Lenahan, his philosophy is to use classic and imaginative cooking with local, seasonal ingredients from our land, sea and air combining a depth of flavour with the traditions of the castle. The elegance and splendour of the 19th Century Manor House is the perfect place for our elaborate 2AA Rosette cuisine.
The kitchen team has won several awards in the past, including the Irish Restaurant Awards 2014 for “Best Hotel Restaurant” in Connaught and “Best Restaurant Manager” in Connaught, as well as the Georgina Campbell’s “Just Ask!” Restaurant of the Year 2014 Award. 2016 has seen the hotel pick up the award for "Best Hotel Restaurant" in Mayo for the 3rd year in row at the regional awards in Sligo. The Restaurant then went on to represent Mayo at the national awards where once again we picked up the award for "Best Hotel Restaurant in Connacht" everyone in the Castle were delighted to pick up these awards from the "Restaurants Association of Ireland" 
Our Restaurant is open seven days a week, offering different menus for all tastes and budgets. We cater for all dietary requirements and are happy to look after you on all special occasions.

"Firstly we did the tour, which was done by wonderful Brian, who was a very hugely knowledgeable and enigmatic speaker. I have been on many castle / Manor House / grounds tour over the years and was expecting the "same old" - directed at real history buffs and so fairly tedious for the rest of us - but not so! Not only is the actual history of Belleck fascinating in an unusual way, but the way the tour was presented was incredible. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend, wouldn't hesitate to do it again!

We were lucky enough to follow this with the 5 course market menu, and WOW! The food was stunning - beautifully presented, incredible tasting. Every course was divine with unexpected elements (white chocolate with beef, anyone?). They almost had to roll us out the door due to being so full and content!). You must must MUST have the drunken bullock (steak marinated in Jameson whisky and presented in an unorthodox way - no spoiler alerts here!). Needless to say that it is a spectacle!

Our restaurant is open 7 days a week with menus to suit all tastes and budgets:

 

Afternoon Menu: Light afternoon snacks such as salmon platter, cheese plate or soup and sandwich are available every day from 2:30pm. Prices from €5.00 

Early Evening Menu: The Early Evening Menu, a balanced 3-course menu, is available Monday-Sunday between 5:30 and 6:30pm. €34.50

A La Carte: Friday and Saturday after 7pm. Booking advisable. A reduced A La Carte menu available during the week. 

Market Menu: A great value gourmet option: This delicious 5 course Menu is carefully constructed and balanced to satisfy, available Sunday to Thursday. €54.50. This choice also features our signature dish, The Drunken Bullock.

Gourmet Menu: For those who really want to treat themselves to a gourmet experience, we are recommending the 8 course Gourmet Menu for €69.50. Available Friday and Saturday from 7pm.

Of course our Vegetarian Menu is available every day, as well as the Children’s Menu.
We cater for all dietary requirements. If you can, please let us know in advance.
